For this exhibition, I chose to select works centred on the theme of the human figure. There is a directness in these works that speaks its own language more powerfully than words. Their visual authenticity immediately reveals the essence of the innermost self and challenges conventional distinctions between sanity and madness, order and chaos, and art and instinct.” - Roger Ballen
